- But the cost of a CDROM AND a hard drive would be higher than an ZIP
- drive, and AT would want to keep the 'low-end' machine as cheap as
- possible. The CDROM and hard drive could be optional if the machine came
- with a ZIP as standard.

- Anyway, all machines need some other form of media - whtether floppy
- drive or ZIP in order to get other than commercial programs, data files
- etc. A floppy drive is virtually useless as a backup device these days,
- but is still useful for transfering documents, PD software etc.

- The real point is that AT are probably too 'chicken' to take on some of
- these innovative ideas...
